College Hoops Breakdown: 16 Sweet Matchups We’d Like to See.

Cinderellas are running wild and your bracket is crumbling to pieces… and we haven’t even finished the second round! 

As the dust settled Sunday Night, College Hoops Breakdown scanned the bracket for the most intriguing potential matchups in the Sweet 16, Elite 8 and Final Four.

SWEET 16 
West Region: 6) USC vs. 7) Oregon
The Pac 12 Dominance continues as both teams pull of upsets in the round of 32

West Region: 6) USC vs.  2) Iowa
Evan Mobley vs. Luka Garza? Sign us up!!

East Region: 14) Abilene Christian vs. 2) Alabama
ACU joins the Cinderellas in the Sweet 16s in a defensive slugfest

Elite 8
West Region: 1) Gonzaga vs.  2) Iowa

CHB loves defense, but both teams pushing triple digit scoring with the Final Four on the line is too good to pass up

West Region: 1) Gonzaga vs. 3) Kansas
New Blood vs Blue Blood for a spot in the Final Four

East Region 8) LSU vs 2) Alabama
Rematch of the amazing SEC Championship game; winner to the Final Four, loser “Gets the &#$@ out of here” 

East Region: 1) Michigan vs. 2) Alabama
Both these coaches got into shouting matches in their respective conference tourneys. Would be an electrifying game on the court and on the sideline

Midwest Region: 9) Loyola Chicago vs. 2) Houston
Guarantees a midmajor is in the Final Four – they have similar tempos, meaning each team could play at the pace they’d like

Midwest Region: 12) Oregon State vs. 11) Syracuse
Two Double Digit, Power Conference teams currently on fire in the tournament 

South Region: 1) Baylor vs. 15) Oral Roberts
Oral Roberts makes history, then gets another opportunity to slay a giant

South Region: 1) Baylor vs. 3) Arkansas
Two top 10 scoring offenses setting off fireworks in Indiana

Final Four
1) Gonzaga vs 1) Michigan
The two fanbases have been outspoken of their team’s supremacy, this would be the war to end all (Twitter) wars. 

13) Ohio vs. 14) Abilene Christian
A guaranteed Cinderella Story in the Championship game

6) USC vs 11) UCLA (or any combination of USC/Oregon vs Colorado/UCLA)
Can you imagine if the only teams to beat Pac 12 teams in the tournament were other Pac 12 teams?!

5) Villanova vs 11) Syracuse
Old School Big East Matchup

1) Baylor vs. 8) Loyola Chicago
The KenPom #1 Defense vs. the Ken Pom #3 Offense; not to mention Loyola Chicago’s Offense (#35) is closely ranked with Baylor’s Defense (#32)
